Headquarter's Report: Ushering in the Next Era of AuDacity

Author: Stephanie Czuhajewski, Executive Director

If audacity is defined as the bold disregard for normal contraints, then ADA and its members, by definition, have been among the most AuDacious in audiology!

After all, it was ADA members who defiantly dispensed during audiology’s dark ages. It was ADA members who unabashedly transformed audiology into a doctoring profession. And today, it is ADA members who are leading the charge to AuDvocate for better patient access, best practices and professional parity!

The next step, ADA members, is to forever change the way we learn, network and plan together. With that in mind, the ADA Convention is undergoing a metamorphosis into its new form--AuDacity. AuDacity will deliver an unrivaled venue for learning, networking and planning, and one which is wholly focused on the future of audiology and patient care. AuDacity 2016 will be held November 10-12th at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, in San Diego, California.

Pre-registration is open at www.audiologist.org. Please reserve your space early--seating is limited. AuDacity will feature full-service programming for both audiologists and audiology assistants.

AuDacity embodies ADA’s dedication to practitioner excellence, professional autonomy and sound business practices in the provision of quality audiologic care. ADA’s extensive team of thought leaders and partners, paired with cutting edge meeting technologies and logistical tools, we are in the process of creating a one-of-a kind experience that will engage, enlighten and inspire attendees.

AuDacity won’t merely provoke thought and evoke action now, it will also harness the clinical and business acumen of participants in a way that will strengthen our entire community for years to come. In addition to a magnificent educational program, AuDacity will also provide ADA members with the opportunity to participate in a strategic planning session that will identify and prioritize organizational goals and initiatives through our purposeful and unified attention toward the future.

If you are looking for an opportunity to grow your knowledge and your practice, while shaping the future of AuDiology, then mark your calendar and make plans now to attend the inaugural AuDacity conference! Please contact me anytime if you have any questions, or if I can assist you in any way.
